Lead Strategist - Social Media | Location: Mumbai | 18 December

Job Description & Work Exp.

We are looking for a Lead Strategist – Social to drive high-impact social media strategies for leading brands across categories. This role requires a strong balance of brand thinking, cultural awareness, data-led planning, and team leadership. You will be responsible for shaping social f irst narratives, leading integrated campaigns, and scaling brand presence through content, creators, and communities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end social media strategy for multiple brands across platforms (Instagram, YouTube, X, etc.)
  • Develop brand narratives, GTM strategies, and campaign frameworks rooted in consumer insights and culture
  • Translate brand objectives into clear content, influencer, and community strategies
  • Drive full-funnel social thinking from awareness to engagement, consideration, and conversion.
  • Conceptualise and oversee social-first campaigns, product launches, and moment marketing.
  • Collaborate with creative, content, design, and production teams to ensure strong execution.
  • Ensure consistency in tone of voice, storytelling, and platform relevance.
  • Lead influencer and creator strategy from identification to execution and scale
  • Build and manage long-term creator ecosystems and UGC pipelines.
  • Evaluate performance and optimise creator-led content for reach, engagement, and impact
  • Use analytics and social insights to drive continuous optimisation and growth
  • Track platform trends, cultural moments, and emerging formats
  • Leverage AI tools, automation, and new-age marketing solutions to enhance strategy and efficiency
  • Manage, mentor, and grow a team of strategists
  • Lead client conversations, presentations, and strategic workshops
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams—media, performance, creative, and accounts. 

Skills and Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in social media strategy / digital strategy / brand strategy
  • Strong background in agency or brand-side social teams
  • Proven experience working on large brands, GTMs, and high-scale campaigns
  • Deep understanding of content, culture, creators, and platforms
  • Ability to think creatively and analytically
  • Experience managing teams and leading client relationships
  • Strong presentation and storytelling skills.
